Lakes of the Clouds #3

The Lakes of the Clouds series was captured from the Lakes of the Clouds hut on Mt. Washington. The hut resides about 1.3 miles from the summit at about 5000 feet and overlooks the valley below.

These photographs were taken when the storm that had set in two days before broke around us and settled a few thousand feet below the hut. The lowering of the ceiling brought with it a beautiful sight; a sea of clouds surrounding us.
